Retreat FAQs

Q-Do you share a tent or have your own?

A-You will have your own private two-person "glamping", canvas tent with a comfy cot and mattress, plus access to common camp facilities. This is NOT the retreat for women who aren't willing to get a little rustic AND we think you'll find the accommodations are quite lovely.

Q-What's the bathroom situation like?

A-You'll have an outhouse with toilet paper and hand sanitizer in the prairie camp. There is also an outdoor shower. We provide towels and a washcloth.

Q-Are horses provided?

A-Yes, all horses, tack, and trail wranglers are provided for you. You cannot bring your own horse. We have gentle horses and experienced guides who will take care of you. You can rest assured you'll have a trusted mount for your adventures with the Crazy Mountains as your backdrop.

Q-What do you do at night?

A-You will enjoy cozy evenings around the fire pit. Sarah might even play some country music on the guitar. Bring a jacket, it gets chilly in Montana in the evenings this time of year.

Q-How many "glampers" are saddling up?

A-We will have space for 10 women to join us in Montana.

Q-Will all food be provided? What about food allergies and special dietary needs?

A-We provide amazing, whole foods prepared with love, and you are welcome to bring a few of your own goodies / treats to share. When you register, please be sure to share any dietary needs you'd like to be accommodated during your stay.

Q-Where is camp? Where exactly is the ranch located?

A-The ranch is a small family owned and operated cattle ranch that raises cow-calf pairs, and also the home for a native plant and tree nursery. Through targeted grazing and infrastructure developments, the Blake family strives to leave this landscape better off than they found it.

Q-Which airport is best?

A-If you'd like to coordinate a ride to the ranch, please use the Bozeman airport, as it's the closest to Big Timber. We are about a 1 hour and 15 minute drive from the Bozeman Airport.

Q-Will cellphones work?

A-It's highly likely and wifi is fairly accessible, although you're invited to tune out. You can plug your phone in next to the campground - but you may want an external battery pack to charge your phone in your tent. Those with Verizon generally have good service throughout the ranch.

Q-Do you have to worry about bears?

A-There is wildlife out on the ranch but you generally do not have to worry about bears near the home base camp.

Q-Is alcohol included?

A-We do not provide booze - feel free to bring your own cocktails, wine, beer etc. We just ask you to bring plastic or aluminum cans (no glass), or boxed wine. We will stop on the ride to the ranch if you are using our airport shuttle.

Q-What's the weight limit for riders?

A-There is a maximum weight limit of 230 lbs (for the rider and horse’s safety).

Q-Do you have to have horse experience?

A-No. While we expect many experienced riders to join, we will have horses and activities for all levels of riders! It's also important to note that a large portion of the horse work will be done from the ground. We welcome all!

Q-What are the age restrictions for this retreat?

A-All campers need to be 21 years and up.

Q-After paying 25% down to secure your spot, what is the payment schedule?

A-The remaining balance is due by July 1st. If the final payment is not received by the due date, your spot—including your private tent and horse—will be released, and your initial deposit will be non-refundable.

Q-What is the refund policy?

A-The refund policy is as follows:

  • Deposits (25%) are non-refundable. This secures your spot and helps cover upfront costs.

  • Cancellations before July 1st. Initial deposit non-refundable. All other paid amounts refundable.

  • Cancellations after July 1st are non-refunds, but you may transfer your spot to another person.

Q-Will Sarah be offering private coaching sessions during the event?

A: Yes—one-on-one coaching will naturally unfold throughout the retreat, especially during equine-guided activities. While formal private sessions aren’t scheduled, the flexible structure of the experience allows for meaningful coaching moments to happen organically.

Sarah is here to serve. If you show up ready to grow, reflect, and engage, she will absolutely pour into you—offering insights, challenges, and guidance to help you rise into your next level of leadership and clarity.

Want to take full advantage? Come with an open heart, big questions, and a willingness to explore. Coaching will happen—because that’s what Sarah does.

Q-What should be packed?

A-You can find a complete packing list by clicking here, but there’s one special thing we ask you to bring: A small, meaningful gift for your fellow campers—a “serviceberry” of sorts. This should be:
🔹 Handmade or locally sourced
🔹 Connected to you through story, experience, or passion
🔹 Valued at $10 or less per person

Think of it as a way to share a piece of yourself—whether it’s something you’ve crafted, grown, written, or discovered in your own journey. It’s about offering something from the heart, just as you’ll receive in return. ❤️

Q-Do you need to bring a sleeping bag?

No. We will provide you with a full gear list specific to your experience.

Q-Do you need to bring a yoga mat?
A-Nope! We’ve got you covered. All the essentials will be provided. Just bring yourself, your breath, and a willingness to ground down and rise up.
